Teachers, etc
I would like to dedicate this page to our teachers, classes and designers.
Our new crochet teacher, Erin Fortney, has given me some information about herself; so I will start with Erin.
In her own words:
I started crocheting as a way to pass time during the cold upstate New York winters and on flights back and forth between school and home in Atlanta. My roommate taught me a couple of basic stitches, and off I went. I crocheted scarf after scarf for family and friends.
Once I got to grad school, I picked up some crochet books and taught myself fancy stitches and fun borders. My hands are rarely idle, so I kept myself occupied while I wasn’t busy studying by crocheting. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been crocheting for 10 years now!
After teaching many friends to crochet, I decided it would be fun to share my love of crochet by teaching in a more formal setting. I love teaching, and particularly love the “Aha!” look that comes across students’ faces when everything “clicks” for them.
I live in Roswell and work in the non-profit sector. In my spare time, when I’m not reading or cycling, I have a crochet hook in my hand trying out fun and fabulous new techniques. You often can find me at the shop or anytime on Ravelry (knottyerin). THANKS - ERIN
