Hey Knitters!
I simply have to point out a new yarn we have this season – “Winifred’s Washable” by one of our favorite yarn dyers, Farmhouse Yarns. This yarn is a MACHINE WASHABLE superskein of 450 yards, in a beautiful merino/acrylic blend. It has a lovely, soft hand, and a beautiful smooth knit. As a light worsted, it gets 4-5 stitches per inch, ideal for a lot of patterns….as a sample I knit the “Baby and Bears” sweater by Cottage Creations to show off the yarn.
In addition, because of the length it helps counter a situation that comes with Farmhouse Yarns – matching skeins. This skein is large enough that most baby projects can be done with one. Larger projects, like baby blankets, could be done with two, and it would only take 3 for an adult sweater! This cuts down on having lots of different skeins, which will make the dyework in the finished piece more even. This is especially true in one skein projects like baby sweaters, which will be nice and even because it all came from the same skein!
Stop by and look, touch, and feel. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.
